Google’s Doodle Showing The Love

Published by Julie Anne Byrne on

Every day since 6th April Google has been publishing a “thank you” doodle to all areas of the essential services sector that are continuing to work through the COVID-19 pandemic and provide a service to the world during this time.

I believe these doodles accurately reflects the sentiments of a whole nation and our admiration and gratitude to a whole host of essential workers who tirelessly and bravely go forward each day to do their work under such strenuous times and in some cases at great risk to their own health.

Google says “that as the fatal disease continues to spread across the world, it is launching a Doodle series to honour those on the frontline”.

It reads: “As COVID-19 continues to impact communities around the world, people are coming together to help one another now more than ever”

Below is Google’s Doodles of love and thanks that have so far been launched.

I love the Google doodles that pop up for all kinds of subjects, but I especially like and agree with you on this.

It’s an excellent way to show appreciation for the essential workers and first responders during the coronavirus crisis.

Really, they deserve it every day, but it takes something like this to highlight how important they are.

    Hi Laura

I completely agree with you, they are the real heroes during this pandemic.

I am sure they are still experiencing the same emotions as the rest of us not to mention juggling family life and yet they continue to shine and perform for the greater good each and every day!

    Be well, Julie Anne

That’s pretty cool. I don’t use Google as my primary search engine, so I didn’t know they were doing this.

Thanks for sharing. I’m glad you shared the daily doodles up to this point, too. I was going to go try to find them, then scrolled down far enough to see they were included in your post.

Plus, I got to see in to the future. It’s still April 15th where I live, so the doodle thanking the food service workers isn’t showing up here yet.

Now that I know about this, I will have to check in each day to see what’s next.

You are most welcome Randy, I plan to keep it up to date as long as they continue to do it.

My sister and brother are both considered to be “food service workers” in their respective roles as chef and baker so it was particularly important for me to find a “thank you” there for them.

Not sure how I managed to find it, as it too is in the future for me, here in Ireland it is still April 15th 🙂

All the best and be well, Julie Anne
